Dev Deepawali — the “Diwali of the gods” on Kartik Purnima — fills ghats and homes with rows of diyas. Pair the lamps with a pure, charcoal-free dhoop for a luminous, devotional evening. Here is how.
Light and fragrance together
As you line up diyas, light a warm, devotional dhoop like gugal or chandan — see the bamboo-less dhoop range and keep camphor for the aarti.
For a riverside or terrace aarti
Outdoors, a sambrani cup gives a strong, quick fragrance that carries on the evening air.
Keep it pure
Charcoal-free incense keeps the devotional mood clean and light as families gather. Explore Daily Poojan essentials.
